I had an absolutely horrible experience having my cataract surgery. I was complexity prepped for surgery, IV started, drops in my eyes when a hospital nurse came in and said Dr. Simon's office called and I needed to go over to his office to make a $500 payment before he would do a procedure that was supposed to be done at 8am (and it's now noon). I had been given no warning that I had a $500 co-payment. The receptionist said the office had been trying to get a hold of me, so I checked my voice mails and incoming call log. Neither showed a singe call from the office. So I gave my debit card number over the phone to get that taken care of since I was already prepped. When I spoke with the anesthesia doctor I said I do not want to be awake and aware in the procedure. Well not only was I awake and aware, I got to feel the entire procedure being done!! And it was very painful! After I finished I was told I had to go to Dr. Simon's office for follow up instructions and for him ro c

I had a great experience with Dr. Simon and his staff. The staff are very friendly and pleasant to be around, they make you feel at home. Dr. Simon performed cataract surgery on both eyes and I could not be happier with the results. I have been very near-sighted since grade school, I had to graduate to bi-focals once I turned 50 and had astigmatism. I opted for the Pan-Optix lenses and now I see 20/20, even better close up. My distance vision is better than it has ever been. All procedures and questions were explained, I highly recommend Dr. Simon and his staff. Signed, Happy Customer/Patient

Dr, Simon performed cataract surgery on both eyes in the fall of 2019 and I could not be more pleased with the results. Years ago I had RK surgery which made the cataract procedure more difficult than normal and as I told him in my follow-up office visit "You nailed it." My vision had been becoming more and more blurry and I thought I would have to ditch the reading glasses and go to prescription only. It has now been seven months and I appreciate my "new" vision everyday. My vision returned to 20/25 after the surgery and I only use my reading glasses for the smallest print. Would I do it again? Of course, only sooner. The procedure was explained in detail beforehand and there was no pressure applied. His staff was always friendly, attentive and very competent and the follow-up care was excellent. One other factor concerning Dr. Simon - he always takes time to discuss your situation and answer any questions. PATIENCE FOR PATIENTS.

My husband a I both give Dr. Simon our highest recommendation. I am 64 years old and suffer daily from Sjogren's Syndrome, an autoimmune disease which causes damage to the cells of the salivary and tear glands. I liken this condition to having sand in my eyes...among other discomforts. Dr. Simon was very knowledgeable about my condition and was most helpful in recommendations to help alleviate my discomfort.

I highly recommend Dr. Simon for all of your eye care needs. My husband and I started seeing him for our eye exams many years ago, when he was coming to Jackson, Ky. once a week. When he no longer came to Jackson, we traveled to Winchester, Ky. for our yearly exams. Both of us developed cataracts and Dr. Simon kept a close watch on them until they were ready for surgery. My husband had surgery in October and November of 2014. Both surgeries went great. He does use reading glasses, but we haven't had to spend any money on prescription glasses. Dr. Simon did surgery on both of my eyes this past March and April of 2019. I was so tired of wearing glasses, that I decided to let him do the restore lenses for me. I am so happy that I did. It is wonderful to be able to see again without having to wear glasses.
