Biography: Dr. Stern was born in Chicago Illinois but came to NYC a few months later and was raised in Greenwich village, New York. She graduated from the University of Chicago with an AB in 1986. She has been taking care of patients in the primary care and hospital settings in a multi specialty group affiliated with NYU Langone Health. Since 1997 she had been on the faculty at NYU Langone Health as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. In addition to her clinical responsibilities she was the Medical Director of the ICAEL accredited non invasive testing suite at MHMG/CareMount/Optum. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Echocardiography.

Care Philosophy: The field of interventional cardiology is advancing rapidly, and there are numerous exciting therapies on the horizon. State-of-the-art technology and improvement in techniques allow effective management of patients with coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease with minimally invasive procedures. In a collaborative effort with the physicians at Weill Cornell, I hope to provide our patients with the best care and make contributions in our patients' lives.

Care Philosophy: Our group of experienced interventional cardiologists and vascular/endovascular specialists offers a comprehensive, multispecialty, cutting-edge approach to the evaluation and care of patients with coronary, peripheral and carotid arterial disease, with an emphasis on a minimally invasive endovascular approach. As an academic interventionalist, researcher and educator my goal is to deliver the best possible care to our patients and to provide them with access to the most innovative, state-of-the-art technology for treatment of coronary, peripheral vascular and carotid disease.

Biography: Dr. Gangireddy is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to caring for patients at the Weill Greenberg Center, he interprets and performs echocardiograms, and attends on the inpatient services at New York Presbyterian Hospital.Dr. Gangireddy was born in Maryland, and completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He then attended the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago Medical School, where he graduated in 2008.Following medical school, he completed Internal Medicine Residency, a two year Clinical Research Fellowship, and his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Following his fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases, he completed a Research Fellowship in Clinical Informatics at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Care Philosophy: My professional focus is equally directed on the direct care of patients intimately combined with teaching Fellows diagnostic and interventional therapeutic cardiac procedures in the catheterization laboratory. I consider it a significant privilege to work side by side with so many other experts in the provision of excellent health care. In particular Faculty status at Cornell provides me with the time and opportunity to practice the discipline of cardiac catheterization in the most professional manner. I greatly enjoy the responsibility of teaching Fellows the skills and importance of the catheterization laboratory. Combining this with an interest in clinically based outcomes type research completes my busy schedule.

Biography: Dr. Reisman received his Medical Degree from Sackler School of Medicine, New York State Program. He did his Internship at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He finished both Residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Dr. Reisman completed Interventional Cardiology at University of California San Diego Medical Center in San Diego.Dr. Reisman has a very productive career as exemplified by authorship and co-authorship of over 100 publications. Biography: Michael Argenziano, MD, FACS, is Associate Chief of the Division of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He also serves as the director of the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Arrhythmia programs, director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory and Clinical Research Program, and program director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency program. Dr. Argenziano received his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his postgraduate training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Argenziano is board certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He is the immediate past president of the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery. He has authored more than 100 publications, presented at numerous scientific conferences, and received several grants and awards for his research. He has led two national trials of robotic surgery, and his atrial fibrillation research has been supported by the TSFRE's Career Development Award. He currently serves as Columbia's principal investigator in the NIH/NHLBI Network for Cardiothoracic Surgical Investigations.

Care Philosophy: As a full-time faculty member at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, I practice general cardiology with a focus on prevention, women's heart disease, valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease. In addition to seeing patients in the office, I read and perform transthoracic and transeophageal echocardiograms in the hospital and serve as the Medical Director of the inpatient cardiac telemetry unit (4N).

Biography: Dr. Andrew J. Kaufman, an expert in advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery and thoracic surgical oncology, is the Director of The Thoracic Surgery Airway Program and The Asian Thoracic Surgery Program at Mount Sinai, as well as the Associate Program Director for the Thoracic Surgery Residency Program. He attended New York University School of Medicine for medical school and general surgery training. He completed a two year research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and was awarded a national TSFRE Research Fellowship Grant and the Chairman's Award for Excellence in Basic Science Research. Dr. Kaufman went on to complete his residency on the Thoracic Surgery track in cardiothoracic surgery, specializing in thoracic surgery, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/New York Hospital Weill-Cornell Medical Center as the Memorial Fellow in General Thoracic Surgery where he received the Alumni Foundation Award for All-Around Clinical Excellence. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Kaufman especially enjoys spending time with and getting to know the people he meets in the office and hospital. He is dedicated to the compassionate care of people and their families across all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Having lived and studied in China for two years, Dr. Kaufman is fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Cantonese. His background in Asian language and culture inspired the development of the Asian Thoracic Surgery Program at the Mount Sinai. The program focuses on providing the most advanced multidisciplinary care for the Asian community with the goal of integrating community outreach, patient education, and scientific research to provide comprehensive care in this important New York City population. Dr. Kaufman is clinically focused on advanced minimally invasive and lung sparing surgery for thoracic malignancies. These specialized cancer operations conserve lung tissue and preserve respiratory function with faster recovery times. Andrew has published and presented widely on his lung sparing techniques of Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) segmentectomy for early lung cancers as well as pleurectomy and decortication for malignant pleural mesothelioma. His research interests are focused on combining clinical, pathologic, and genetic data to better understand lung cancer in smokers and non-smokers. Dr. Kaufman works closely with the Interventional Pulmonary Division to locate and mark small early cancers with Navigational Bronchoscopy in order to facilitate VATS lung sparing segmentectomy. This collaboration is also essential to The Thoracic Surgery Airway Program, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the trachea and airways, such as tracheobronchomalacia and tracheal stenosis, utilizing both surgical and interventional techniques. In his spare time, Dr. Kaufman enjoys spending time with his wife and two terrific daughters. He is an avid cook, guitarist, and tennis player.

My area of clinical as well as research interest is in evaluation and management of diastolic heart failure or heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and its effects on pulmonary vasculature.
