Dendy, DO, has special interest in minimally invasive surgery. Minimally invasive surgery, sometimes called laparoscopic surgery, is done through small incisions. Using specialized techniques, miniature cameras with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights and special instruments, Dr. Dendy can perform surgery through incisions that require only a stitch or two to close.Minimally invasive surgery means less trauma to the body, less blood loss, smaller surgical scars and less need for pain medication. Biography: Ronak Patel, D.O. is a native Texan. He attended the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Economics. He went on to attend Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth Texas in which he graduated with honors. He was in the top 5 in his class and obtained the President's Scholar award, given to students who maintained Dean's list throughout every semester in college.Dr. Patel completed his surgical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical Center. There he received extensive General Surgery and Trauma training at the Busiest Level 1 Trauma Center in the U.S. by physicians such as Dr. James "Red" Duke and Dr. John B Holcomb. He then went on to the University of South Florida for fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery. Training was extensive in Laparoscopic Foregut surgery including but not limited to Nissen Fundoplication, Distal Pancreatectomy, Splenectomy, Bowel resection, Colon surgery and Bariatric surgery with an emphasis on revisional surgeries. He has also completed DaVinci Robotic Surgical Training.He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). He is Fellowship certified by the ASMBS as well as the fellowship council. He has presented Posters at the annual Obesity Week in the past. Dr. Patel has a strong interest in Bariatric Surgery and the maintenance of weight loss after. He teaches weight sensitivity courses for medical professionals at the hospitals that he works at as he knows the difficulty of weight loss, the importance of it, and the difficulty with expressing the need for help by a patient.

Biography: Dr. Vadim Sherman, MD is a Bariatric Surgery Specialist who practices in Houston, TX. Dr. Vadim Sherman, MD is affiliated with Houston Methodist and Houston Methodist Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Michael Keller grew up in the Cypress area where he is now a 3rd generation physician. He grew up shadowing his father and now partner, Dr. Kim Keller. He also shadowed his uncle, Dr. Michael G. Keller, who practiced family medicine and heard many stories of his grandfather, Dr. Glen Keller. Dr. Keller attended Baylor University in Waco for undergraduate, where he graduated with a biology major and minors in both chemistry and business administration.He then came back to Houston where he attended the University of Texas atHouston Medical School, now called the McGovern Medical School. Upon completing medical school, Dr. Keller moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he completed his general surgery training at UPMC Mercy. While there, he was awarded the laparoscopic achievement award (for most skilled with laparoscopic techniques of surgery). Dr. Keller is certified by DaVinci and has now performed more than 500 robotic surgeries including complex hernias, hiatal hernias, as well as colon and rectal surgeries. In addition to surgery, Dr. Keller also performs colonoscopies. Dr. Keller enjoys watching Baylor sports, the Houston Astros, and the Houston Texans. He also enjoys time with his wife and 2 children.
