Care Philosophy: Dr. Kirkland is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He specializes in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery including ventricular assist device therapy and heart transplantation. He currently serves as the Director of Cardiac Services at Seton Medical Center Hays. Dr. Kirkland is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, AMA, Denton A. Cooley Cardiovascular Surgical Society, Houston Surgical Society, TMA, and TCMS.
