Special Doc
Every once in awhile you run into a special doc that is an elite player in a group of already elite players. He is wicked smart, dedicated, creative and great to work with. I am so impressed with Dr Thomas and his approach, the way he thinks and the way he stayed dedicated to my complex condition until we found the right solutions. He is one of the best and I have had many docs and specialists help me with my complex conditions. Dr Thomas is so far beyond the average and good docs. I’m lucky to have him in my corner.

Bad experience with Dr.Thomas, I almost died. If it was not for me transferred to the Cleveland Clinic. Again, I would have died. Dr Jerome Thomas surgeries were unnecessary cause damage to my veins and throat. Also he did not give me food and water during the time I was causing malnutrition. The Cleveland Clinic did everything in reverse and I am recovering nicely, can drive a car, go to the mall etc.

I had an appointment at noon with Dr. Thomas. Yes, I was running a bit late for a 30 minute appointment - but arrived within the standard 15 minute window that every doctor’s office allows - and there was already a note in my chart requiring that I reschedule for being late. First of all, my appointment was originally supposed to be Monday, but I graciously agreed to reschedule and fielded a DAILY phone call or email from Dr. Thomas’s office in the interim asking me for this or that information. And he has the audacity to ask me to reschedule despite my having given his office more than enough patience and time. Maybe he’s a genius, but I wouldn’t rate him. It was a thrill to see another patient show up at 12:38 for a 12:15 appointment and be welcomed by the front desk rather than scolded, as I was for being 12 minutes late.

My Cardiolgist was retiring and I was referred to Dr. Jerome Thomas. The first apointment went very well. He had obtained all my previous medical records from my past Cardiologist and so he was up to date on my condition. He is a very nice person to work with and will answer any questions you might have about your treatment plan. I feel very comfortable being seen by him. One other thing I like is the short time it takes to be seen in his office. The good staff keep things rolling right along.

Thank you for the excellent care Dr. Thomas and his assistant Trang have provided to my mother. Just can’t thank him and his staff enough at AHH. Thank you for participating in her care along with Dr. Karha and Julie. Amazing experience overall. Great bedside manners and such ease of explanation of medical condition. He was never in a rush , made my family feel comfortable all the way around. My niece Rocky was so right in recommending us to Austin Heart Hospital and this great team of Physicians and staff.

I recently visited Austin Cardiologists as a new patient of Dr. Jerome Thomas. Everyone I had contact with, from the person checking me in initially to the technician who fitted me with a heart monitor at the end of my visit, was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Thomas was very nice. He listened and answered my questions patiently. He made me feel that he really cared about me. I couldn't ask for a better health care experience.

The front desk was very helpful and very nice. We were running late and they still got us in and Dr. Thomas was more than happy to see us, even though we were late due to traffic. Everyone is extremely friendly and easy to contact if we ever need anything. My 90 year old grandfather was very pleased with how kind everyone was and so was I.

Dr. Thomas listened to me attentively about my symptoms and explained thoroughly what my test result was and what other tests I need to take for him to be able to diagnose my symptoms. Dr, Thomas was very knowledgeable. He came in and access my situation look at my Echo results and corrected the diagnosis my primary physician gave me. As she is not a cardiologist and she said I should see a cardiologist. He came up with a plan of action customized for me and explained it very well. He requested, I have a few more test done to get an accurate picture of what is going on with me. I am confident about his knowledge and how we are proceeding.

Dr. Thomas is a very caring and excellent cardiologist. I have had heart issues since 2001 so I have experience with a number of cardiologist and he is one of the best. Since seeing him my heart health has improved along with my outlook of my health. I felt as if I was on a downhill trend but he has given me faith that I will get better. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas with confidence. When I call for an appointment the doctor has openings and the day of appointment there isn't a long wait.
