Dr. William Nordt is an orthopedic surgeon at the Parham Doctors Medical Complex. He tells us surgery should still be a last resort.We put people in programs where we try to understand how they carry the forces through their knee joint and why that knee joint is deteriorating in a specific area. And then through neuromuscular training, or physical therapy we try to reduce the forces on that joint.

After practicing medicine for several years in a Christian hospital located in Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Stringer settled in Richmond, Virginia, establishing the practice now known as James River Internists.
