Biography: Dr Douglas Fox is a board certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon with a special interest in surgically treating complex spinal conditions with minimally invasive techniques and innovative technologies. Dr Fox is trained to treat any of your neurological surgical needs, specifically those that require brain or spinal surgery. Conditions Dr Fox commonly treats include herniated disc, spinal stenosis, and brain tumors. Dr Fox grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. After finishing his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University in 1995. He went on to complete his medical degree at Washington University in 1999. Dr. Fox remained at Washington University for his residency training in neurosurgery and graduated in 2005. Following his residency, he completed two additional years of training with fellowships in cerebrovascular surgery with Robert Spetzler, M.D. and complex spinal surgery with Volker K Sonntag, M.D. at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Fox has published widely and maintains an active research interest in the development of new surgical technologies to improve neurosurgical care. He is currently co-lead in a NIH-RO1 grant for development of non-invasive brain mapping technology and involved in the development of new technologies including laser guided functional mapping of the brain surface and the use of augmented reality systems with robotics for brain and spinal navigation. Dr Fox currently sees patients at our NeuroTexas offices in Central Austin, Southwest Austin and Horseshoe Bay.

Biography: Dr. Christopher Chaput is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine, completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Scott & White Hospital and continued his training by completing a fellowship in Spine Surgery at The Maryland Spine Fellowship.His patient care emphasis includes Disorders of the Cervical Spine (Neck) including Complex Reconstructive Procedures, Lumbar Trauma and Tumor, Less Invasive Surgery of the Lumbar Spine, Minimally Invasive Procedures in the Cervical Spine, Motion Preservation and Disc Replacement in the Cervical Spine.Dr. Chaput is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a Fellow (FAANS) of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
