He then attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, where he obtained his MD and stayed on for residency training in Adult Neurology and fellowship training in both Epilepsy and Neuro-Ophthalmology.Dr. Kung is board-certified in Neurology and Epilepsy and has a special interest in seizures, spells, headache, stroke, multiple sclerosis, double vision, optic neuritis, and pseudotumor cerebri. He also uses Botox to treat patients with chronic migraine, hemifacial spasm, and blepharospasm.Dr. Kung sees outpatients at Blue Sky Neurology's Rose Medical Center location, and also offers Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) video-EEG services for inpatients at Rose Medical Center. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring all the wonderful outdoor activities that Denver has to offer.

Biography: Dr. Ellman is the director of hip arthroscopy and a founding member of the International Center for Hip Preservation at Sky Ridge Medical Center in metro Denver, Colorado. Dr. Ellman is also an integral member of the sports medicine team at Panorama Orthopedics and Spine Center. Dr. Ellman brings with him unique experience in treating athletes of all ages. He has a special interest in hip preservation surgery, focusing on the arthroscopic treatment of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome, hip dysplasia, and labral tears. Dr. Ellman completed his orthopedic residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. As a resident, he published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters focused on cartilage biology, biochemical pathways involved in osteoarthritis, and orthopedic surgical techniques, and was awarded the American Academy of Orthopedics Baxter Healthcare Scholarship for his research in hip preservation. Dr. Ellman also participated in sports team coverage for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Following residency, Dr. Ellman completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and hip arthroscopy at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During this time, he trained under world-renowned surgeons in the field of hip, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, and traveled to Chile and Austria as the team physician for the United States Alpine and Boardercross teams. He currently serves as a consultant team physician for the United States Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams as well as Denver University athletics. In addition to his substantial contributions to the written literature, he has presented more than 100 abstracts, video presentations and surgical techniques at national and international meetings.

Care Philosophy: I believe the most important thing is to take compassionate, appropriate care of my patients. I would rather have people understand that I would like to help people rather than that I trained well. Medicine is fun, because you can have relationships with people. It was great to serve as a military field surgeon before entering my residency at Fitzsimmons hospital. One can still feel a little altruism about serving our country.

Care Philosophy: I believe that all patients should be treated wtih respect and dignity. Every patient deserves the direct attention and examination by their physician, not just by a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. My staff and I work hard to limit waiting times to 30 minutes or less. We try to make your visit as comfortable and professional as possible. I review the results of the examination, xrays, and other studies, etc., with the patient and do everything I can to help them understand their condition and the treatment options I recommend. Good decisions are the result of shared knowledge and mutual respect. Good decisions lead to good results.
