Dr. Michael Hewitt, MD

I began seeing Dr. Hewitt in May 2023, his assistant 'Dana' made multiple extremely inappropriate comments to me, they scheduled me 2-3 weeks out for every appointment, and then dropped me 3 months in because he was 'retiring'. My recovery has been extremely delayed because of him, only finally having surgery almost 7 months after first contacting their office. He also didn't even shake my hand when leaving my last appointment because I expressed my frustration.

Dr. Hewitt is so personable. Knowledgeable, professional, explains everything in detail. He is not just a doctor but an extraordinary person.

It was several years between my successful surgery and visits yet he greeted me like it was 2 wks ago. One of the best physician's I have ever seen.

I had been dealing with a rotator cuff injury since November 2022, and had been assigned to two other Orthopedic doctors previously, the second of which left a bad impression. I was referred to Dr. Hewitt as a 3rd opinion, and I am so glad it happened! He was very thorough in his review of my injury and he laid out all of the options, including surgery. Obviously I went with the surgery, and let me just say that he did an amazing job! I am grateful for Dr. Hewitt and his team, and I would highly recommend him many times over!

This is the second time I have seen Dr. Hewitt for an injury. I am so happy to have found him. He is like the guy next door but there is no doubt he is extremely competent. I recommend him 100%.

Dr, Hewitt is super personable, listened (so important!), and showed me the details of my MRI and x-rays so that I understood where the problem lies. He was thorough in his exam and his explanations of options. He made me feel like we were in a partnership to do the best thing for me, and I never felt rushed in the appointment. That approach may make appointments run late, but it shows his commitment to his patients.

DR. Hewitt has a wonderful personality and he really does explain the procedures from start to finish. Dana his nurse is also fantastic. The women at the front desk are so welcoming. Dr. Hewitt listened to my concerns and I felt completely comfortable he really cares about his clients.

He completely reviews with his patients what he is going to perform to get u on the road to recovery. I would recommend Dr. Hewitt without hesitation. He is simply a one of a kind orthopedic doctor.

I had a great feeling about Dr. Hewitt after my first conversation with him. He’s easy to talk to, gives you his opinion but doesn’t force it down your throat. His demeanor and knowledge about his craft is second to none. His staff is too notch as well. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hewitt took the time to listen to my history and understand how debilitating chronic pain can be when trying to live an active lifestyle. I appreciated his thoroughness and I feel hopeful for the first time in over a year.

Dr. Hewitt always explains everything about your situation and gives you choices. Practices conservative medicine which is always a good starting point He couldn't be nicer, or spend more time with you which often backs him up. I do find most ortho offices to be the same in that respect. He did a good job on my rotator cuff repair.

Dr. Hewitt explains everything very well and offered a conservative method to my treatment. After trying all of that first, he was willing to surgical help me. That process was seamless and truly effortless. I understood what was going to happen and why. I had X-rays and an MRI and finally surgery to remove the damage and get me moving. Surgery was a week ago and mu recovery has been great too. I feel so much better and the surgery center was fabulous too. I saw Dr. Hewitt for a follow up and he provided photos and a written explanation of what he did so I can refer to it. I am truly so appreciative for the entire pro and Dr. Hewitt. Dana was amazing in her assistance to get me all of the information in a timely matter. She was quick to reply to messages. I am really so glad that was so amazing and successful. I will recommend Dr. Hewitt in the future for sure!!

He and his staff are very friendly and do their jobs great

Dr. Hewitt treated me for shoulder pain following an over-exertion while whitewater kayaking. He was thorough and patient in listening to my issues then explaining my options. We came up with a game-plan to fix my rotator cuff and bicep tendon. He and his assistant Dana are a potent team. At 55 years old, I can now have many more years of whitewater kayaking and motorcycle riding! Thank you!

We were very satisfied with Dr. Hewitt’s professionalism. He covered all of the information that we needed to know. Since we came from out of state, we deeply appreciated his willingness to take his day off to perform surgery. We highly recommend Dr. Hewitt and his team and plan on coming back when there is a need for future surgery.

Great experience! Came for a shoulder injury that happened at work. Dr. Hewitt and his team were incredibly professional and helpful getting my surgery scheduled ASAP. I really felt like they had my best interest at heart at all times and felt like I could always ask questions and get a prompt and courteous response. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

My visit was a follow up and I was concerned about my shoulder progress,and Dr. Hewitt explained that because of the extra work done and this being the second surgery that the progress would come a little slower than it normally. I slept like a baby that night
