Biography: My goal as an orthopedic surgeon is to make each patient and their family members feel as they are part of the decision making team. I take time to explain every treatment option and rely heavily on patient and family member input to select the best treatment planDr. Winkler graduated from Texas A & M University with a B.A. in Biomedical Sciences, went on to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to earn his Medical Doctorate and his Orthopedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Winkler and his wife Taylor live in The Woodlands where they grew up. He has two young daughters, Olivia and Ava. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, being outdoors, and watching college and professional football. He and his family attend St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Treatment Focus: Total joint replacement, partial/total knee, direct anterior and posterior total hip, femur, tibia, ankle, humerus, forearm and wrist fractures.

Care Philosophy: His professional interests include treatment of all injuries involving the hip and knee. While Dr. Tanous does specialize in surgical treatment of hip and knee problems, he includes a comprehensive patient conservative care model with surgery reserved for those whose symptoms don't resolve with less invasive methods

Care Philosophy: I strive to provide the best care for active people, educate them on their options, and help then return to their desired level of activity as quickly as possible, preferably without surgery. But if surgery is necessary, I use minimally invasive techniques combined with state of the art rehabilitation to optimize recovery. I use video visits / telemedicine to minimize patient travel time and allow communication with the patient whether they are work, school, or therapy.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and looks forward to becoming an integral part of the community.
