Biography: Dr. Keyi Yang M.D., Ph.D. Our founder and medical director, Dr. Keyi Yang is an American Psychiatry and Neurology Board certified Neurologist. He received his medical degree from the Shanghai No.2 Medical College in Shanghai, China, and a Ph.D. in Physiology/Neuroscience at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Yang completed his residency training in neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and he also received additional training in electrophysiological studies (EMG), Botulism Toxin Therapy, and sleep studies at the VA Medical Center Houston and the Institute of Sleep Medicine in Houston, Texas. Before moving to Tacoma, Dr. Yang was an assistant Professor of Neurology and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Dr. Yang was actively involved in research in developing new therapy for brain injury and Parkinson's disease while simultaneously teaching at the neurology resident program of Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Yang was an attending physician and staff neurologist at the VA Medical Center Houston.
