Biography: Pragnesh Patel, MD, is a highly-respected practitioner in gastrointestinal diseases and complex liver and pancreaticobiliary diseases at Houston Regional Gastroenterology Institute in Texas, treating patients in the Sugar Land and Humble clinics. He is proud to call Houston his second home; he was born in Surat, India, where he earned his medical degree from Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER).A move to Houston, Texas, in 2010 began an intensive period of study for Dr. Patel. His post-graduate training at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center included a residency and fellowships.
