Biography: Kathleen N. Kelly, PA-C received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016 and her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 2014, both from Kettering College. Kathleen is certified as a physician assistant. Kathleen is a member of the Ohio Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Association of Physician Assistants.

Care Philosophy: I take pride in providing my patients with individualized, patient-centered care. I believe every woman has unique needs and goals, and our care team works to provide a full range of OBGYN healthcare to serve those varied needs. Pregnancy and birth are very special events in the lives of women. I believe that this experience is unique for each woman. I see my role as supportive of the woman and her family, understanding that ultimately the experience of pregnancy and birth belongs to them. Our team serves families as guides during this natural process. We feel privileged to participate in this journey. I am also happy to assist patients with menstrual issues, fertility, family planning, hormonal concerns, pelvic pain, infections, as well as general health maintenance screenings. I focus on patient education whenever possible. My goal is to provide patients with complete and clear information, which in turn will allow active participation in the decisions and plans of treatment.

Biography: Melissa Burkhardt, CNM, MSN earned a BS in Nursing at Wright State University, as well as a certificate in Midwifery and a Master's Degree in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. "Missy" has worked in labor and delivery since 2005, and joined our practice in 2011. She enjoys supporting women of all ages and has a passion for empowering women during childbirth. Melissa is accepting new patients. She is now trained and certified in Nexplanon insertion.

Biography: Kevin Edwards, MD is a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He completed multiple OB/GYN residencies at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C, Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN in addition to a preventative medicine residency at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

Biography: Katherine Lin, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn). She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a member of the American Medical Association, a member of the Greene County Medical Society, a member of the Montgomery Medical Society, and a member of the AAGL Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide. Dr. Lin received her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). With the goal of pursuing biomedical engineering research, she completed her Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and her Doctor of Medicine degree at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as part of the Medical Scholars Program. With the realization that she most enjoyed providing direct medical and surgical care and helping bring new life into the world, she went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Wright State University Residency Program at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. Dr. Lin has been seeing patients since 2001 at her private practice in Xenia. She has privileges at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville. She is a Clinical Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine working as a mentor to medical students and Ob/Gyn resident physicians at Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Lin and Dr. Keith A. Watson were one of the first gynecologists in the Dayton area to offer minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci surgical system. This expertise allows Dr. Lin to safely accomplish highly complicated surgery, shorten hospital stays to one day, and improve the health of her patients. Not only do her patients benefit from her expertise, but Dr. Lin teaches the da Vinci robotic surgery technique to residents at Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Lin's primary goal is to provide the best medical care. Her colleagues is Dr. Kevin K. Edwards. When not at her office or the hospital, Dr. Lin can be found watching soccer.

Biography: Mercedes C. Palmisano, MD graduated from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH where she also completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency. Dr. Palmisano is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Biography: Keshia N. Torres-Shafer, MD graduated from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She also received a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Wright State University. During her residency she was awarded the Wright State University Departmentof ObGyn Excellence in Research Award, the Five Rivers Women's Health Center Clinic Resident award, and was selected for the Miami Valley Hospital Resident Wall of Excellence. Dr. Torres-Shafer specializes in obgyn and has a special interest in high risk obstetrics. She is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Torres-Shafer is certified in OB/GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and isa member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Biography: Allison Allread, CNP received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Allison received her Bachelor of Science from Wright State University in Dayton, OH. Allison is certified as a nurse practitioner.

Biography: In 2005, Ruby Shrestha, MD received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed her OB/GYN residency in 2009 at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident.

Biography: Leesa A. Kaufman, MD received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa in 1998. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the same location.

Biography: Brent Imbody, MD graduated from Wright State University, School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and performed his residency at Michigan State University. He holds current memberships with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Ohio State Medical Association and Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Imbody is an Associate Clinical Instructor and a lecturer at Wright State University. He formerly served as Chairman of the Miami Valley Hospital Ob/Gyn Department. Dr. Imbody has been in private practice since 1992. He has specialized training in endometrial ablations, and is also experienced in minimally invasive hysteroscopic sterilization, intrauterine devices and minimally invasive hysterectomies. Dr. Imbody also specializes in hormone replacement therapy as well as bio-identical hormones.

Biography: Kimberly Breneman received her nurse midwifery certificate in 1997 from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family. She earned her master's in nursing care from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 1998.

Biography: Andrea Carr, CNM received her Master of Science in Nursing-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2016. Andrea received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in 2011.
