Biography: Dr. Alpendre is a fellowship-trained general surgeon who is specialized in minimally invasive general surgery. Dr. Alpendre received his medical school education from the Federal University of Parana (UFPR) in Curitiba-Brazil, the oldest University in the country. He received general surgery training at one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil State University of Campinas, Sao Paulo (UNICAMP).

Biography: Dr. Clark was born and raised in Tampa and is the fourth generation of his family to reside here. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys fishing both in Tampa Bay and the Gulf.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Ross is an advanced gastrointestinal surgeon specializing in robotic and single incision laparoscopic operations for conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, pancreas, gallbladder and liver. She was one of the first surgeons in the U.S. to offer laparo-endoscopic single site (LESS) surgery and continues to be a thought leader in developing new and improved minimally invasive procedures. She is co-director of the Advanced GI and HBP Surgery Fellowship at the Digestive Health Institute, which trains new surgeons to master minimally invasive complex surgery.

Biography: Dr. Garrovillo is a board-certified general surgeon with two decades of experience and advanced fellowship training in critical care. He has been providing the highest-quality surgical care for patients in the Davenport area since 2005 and previously served on the faculty of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and as Chief of Surgery at North General Hospital in New York City. He is a graduate of Cebu Doctors' College of Medicine in the Philippines. He did his general surgery residency at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, in New York City and completed his tenure there with a one-year critical care fellowship.

Biography: Dr. Wesley Hendricks, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Surgical Specialists. He started his academic journey at East Carolina University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He further pursued his interest in the life sciences by earning a Master of Science in Anatomy, Physiology, and Cell Biology from the same institution. Dr. Hendricks continued his medical education at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2010. His extensive training culminated with a General Surgery Residency at Western Reserve Hospital through Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, which he completed in 2015. Dr. Hendricks has developed a patient care philosophy that is deeply influenced by both his academic background and personal family experiences. He not only recognizes the critical role he plays as a surgeon but also empathizes with the emotions experienced by the families of his patients. These understanding shapes his commitment to a holistic approach, ensuring he provides the best possible care experience for each patient.

Biography: Brett Armstrong, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon. Dr. Armstrong treats patients 18 and older and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He performs robot-assisted and minimally invasive surgeries such as appendectomies, hernia repair, cyst removal, gall bladder removal and more. Dr. Armstrong earned his undergraduate degree at Florida State University before attending medical school at FSU College of Medicine. He went on to complete a residency in general surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Dr. Armstrong previously served as Director of Robotics and Chief of Surgery at St. Josephs Hospital-North in Tampa. Dr. Armstrong takes a thorough and precise approach to his consultations to ensure that he is consistently giving accurate diagnoses. He strives to make each patients visit a pleasant and pain-free experience, while providing whole person care.
