Biography: Dr. Armendariz attended Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua, Escuela de Medicina, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Assistant Professor at The Wayne University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and Assistant Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. His residency program in internal medicine was at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, North Dakota and ISSTE Hospital in Chihuahua, Mexico. His fellowship in Critical Care Medicine was at Presbyterian University Hospital, University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His social service included clinics and hospitals. Biography: Jennifer Rachel George, MD, is a board-certified General and Abdominal Transplant surgeon. Dr. George received her medical degree from St. George's University in 2013. She then completed training in General Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas in 2019. There she gained proficiency in a wide range of general surgical procedures as well as in the management of critically ill and injured patients. Her experience with organ donation and procurement during this time facilitated her decision to pursue abdominal organ transplantation.In 2021, Dr. George completed training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at the Baylor University Medical Center, Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute in Dallas, Texas. There she was involved in performing over 200 renal transplants, 120 liver transplants, 20 pancreas transplants, as well as several organ procurements and hepatopancreaticobiliary procedures over a 2-year period. Her time there further afforded the opportunity to care for medically complex and critically ill surgical patients.
