Biography: Daniel Butler, MD, FACS graduated from University of Indiana School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. He completed residency from Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Dr. Butler is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Butler is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons and a member of Throckmorton Surgical Society, The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and American Trauma Society. He has practiced at Roosevelt Surgical Associates and for more than 25 years and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 30 years.

Care Philosophy: I was drawn to surgery the first time I stepped into an operating room as a medical student. The most rewarding part of my job is my ability to so profoundly change a patients life through surgery. Every patient is different, even if their operation is the same, and it is this philosophy that allows me to connect with my patients on a more personal level.

Care Philosophy: I have wanted to be a physician my entire life. The challenge of rapid evaluation and decisive treatment in surgery has always appealed to me. My goal is to treat my patients as individuals and provide the appropriate care and support, medical, emotional, and spiritual that they need, during difficult times in their lives.
