Outstanding physician for a bad diagnosis
I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Dr Farmer related well to me and explained the situation so I had a grasp of the condition. He did surgery and I came out with a most positive outcome. I felt as if he sincerely cares about my health.

His nurse is rude. I give her my opinion about what is going on with me for her to yell and argue that i was wrong. Scheduled a colonoscopy and then was told it was normal only for the doctor to lie and put false information in my chart when he told me everything looked normal and was good. then gave up on me and wouldnt help me find a resolution for my abnormal bleeding. told me well it hasnt killed you yet so it cant be that big of a problem. i will never go see him or his nurse again.

Dr. Farmer is the best hands down! He saved my mother’s life after another “surgeon” was carelessly almost the cause of the end of her life. His skills, talent, compassion, bedside manor, & TRUE concern for each patient are beyond compare! He truly found his calling in life. My family & I are so blessed to have found him! His whole team is amazing!

He is awesome. Makes you feel comfortable discussing your problems. Great personality and sense of humor. My operation was supposed to take 4 hours but I had so many complications. Assistant surgeon said that’s all we can do but Dr Farmer said no this is her only chance to be cured of cancer. So he continued for 7 1/2 hours and got it all. He actually saved my life. Love him to pieces. Best doctor ever.

I’ve been disabled since 2009/2010 and I’ve seen a plethora of physicians since then including two visits to Mayo Clinic, and I’ve yet to meet a doctor or surgeon as caring and thorough as Dr. Farmer. His bedside manner is impeccable, and he has a natural ability to make a person feel at ease even when they have every reason not to.

I live 200 miles from Louisville, but chose to have my colon surgery by Dr. Farmer in Dec. 2015. The knowledge he displayed during my office visits allowed me to feel completely comfortable in my decision to have my surgery by him. Since my surgery, I have felt wonderful, with no complications. I think Dr. Farmer is a gifted surgeon, and a generally nice man. Thank you for everything.

I don't have a problem with Dr. Farmer, in fact I think he is a great doctor. My problem is with one of his staff members. I am not sure of her name but she is his assistant or something and she is rude and very sarcastic. I recently had an appointment and never got seen, I waited for almost 2 hours and when I finally decided to leave his staff member was sarcastic and rude with me.
