Biography: Pedro M. Ramirez, M.D., is a board-eligible neurosurgeon. Dr. Ramirez completed his medical education at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru, followed by a general surgery internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of New Mexico. He is fellowship trained in General Neurosurgery and Critical Care, and has an enfolded fellowship in Spine Surgery. Dr. Ramirez has received the "UNM Neuroscience" Award for resident research. He has been published in peer-review journals and has lectured nationally and internationally in neurosurgical forums. He has written book chapters such as Neurosurgery Knowledge Update: Brain Abscess. Dr. Ramirez specializes in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Tumors, Endoscopic Procedures, Trauma, and Critical Care. He has a special interest in Telemedicine and Physician Education, and outreach in Latin America and his home country of Peru. Biography: Sebastian Rivera, M.D., M.B.A., is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. He is a Florida native, growing up in south Florida. He studied Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree, graduating Cum Laude. He then attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he graduated with a combined M.D./M.B.A degree with a specialization in Healthcare Administration.Dr. Rivera completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed an orthopaedic spine fellowship at the nationally renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, KY. He has been at Orlando Orthopaedic Center since 2022 and serves his patients in both English and Spanish.Dr. Rivera is a member of numerous professional societies, including North American Spine Society, the Florida Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has nearly a dozen peer-reviewed publications in his specialty and has a long history of community service, including medical service trips.Outside of his professional career, Dr. Rivera enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, staying active, and traveling.
