If you’re looking to have relief from chronic pain and have answers this isn’t your person. Persuaded by the pharmaceutical companies. I needed scans in a reasonable time. I’ve been sick for nearly 10 years. The front desk people were kind but expected more from a neurologist. Gave me a physical exam and called it a day. Meds over a couple of months when I need answers now. When I need help now, not later. A physical exam wont show you everything. Once again wasted my time waiting months for doctors who don’t care about their patients. I love Dr. John Bergman. Truly one of a kind. Other doctors don’t understand pathology enough to actually help you. Dismissed my stroke experiences as they were nothing. I’ve been through so much pain. The last thing anyone needs is to be ignored. A couple of months,, I don’t have. This is my life. If this were you, you would act. You would be upset. You would be exhausted and depressed. Everyone was very kind and treated me like an individual and not just another patient. Dr. S was very thorough and answered all my questions and concerns.

Worst front office ever. Tried to set an appointment for over a week, no cooperation, no one answers the phone or gets back to you, I actually drove up there to set an appointment and no one was in the office. I would leave a review for the doc but I never actually got to see him. Dont waste your time with these people!

I first saw Dr. Sam in the hospital. I was given a spinal tap while there. Dr. Bob hit a nerve in my back and I am still having problems. Another hospital stay, they called Dr Sam again to see me. He in so many words thought I was crazy. That I needed to see a therapist. I was in the hospital about 7 to 8 times in one year because medical problems kept coming up. My thyroid was never tested. I ended up having a stroke and a blood clot among other things. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease.

I went to drS 4yrs ago. All he wanted to do was put me on medication. He diagnosed me with MS within minutes of meeting me, then told me a spinal tap would tell for sure. Spinal tap came back negative, he still diagnosed me with MS and told me to “pick a medication” After another neurologist decided to monitor me rather than put me on harmful meds, I had 4 years of MRI’s- I don’t have MS. SO glad I didn’t go on meds DrS wanted! Also would not release my SpinalTap records! Tried many times.

Dr. Sam really listen to my concerns, and took the time to address them. His staff was very helpful in scheduling my testings.

Dr.Sam is wonderful and has saved my life with migraines. If you have migraines do yourself a huge favor and go to him.

Tried to get through & not able to get an URGENT appointment - a referral to another Doctor. ONLY RECEIVED an ANSWERING COMPUTER - NO PERSON - NEED for more personal contact. He did not follow up with the referral and would not reply to message for my friend.

Dr Shanmugham began caring for me in the hospital as a neurological precaution for an unrelated illness due to my epilepsy. We immediately switchednto make him my primary neurologist due to his thoroughness and attentiveness.
