Biography: Dr. Charles graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in chemistry from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ. She later graduated from Drexel University School of Medicine in 2001. She went on to train at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC where she acted a Chief Resident. In July 2005 Dr. Charles joined the Army and served as active duty military physician at Ft Riley, KS. In 2007 she was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After returning from Afghanistan in 2008 she was appointed Chief of the OB/GYN department at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Ft Riley, KS.Dr Charles is board certified in general Obstetrics and Gynecology. She manages normal as well as high risk obstetrics complicated by hypertension, gestational diabetes, twin pregnancies. She is interested in VBAC, water births (first delivery at Hudson Valley Hospital was a water birth). She also works in conjuction with doulas. She offers a wide range of services in gynecology including minimally invasive laparascopic surgery, family planning and contraception, adolescent health counseling, menopausal management, urinary incontinence and infertility. She provides outpatient office procedures such as Essure vaginal sterilization, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopy.

Biography: Dr. Lauren Ruggiero is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who provides a broad scope of women's healthcare services, such as pregnancy and postpartum care, contraceptive placement, and annual health maintenance exams. Dr. Ruggiero provides both in-office and hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care. She specializes in performing ambulatory procedures such as intrauterine device insertion, manual vacuum aspiration, and hysteroscopy.Dr. Ruggiero completed her medical degree at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and her residency training at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve. Since 2017, she has been a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2024, as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Throughout her career, Dr. Ruggiero has worked with a variety of diverse patient populations. These experiences have contributed to her philosophy of approaching each visit with an open mind and nonjudgmental attitude. By understanding each patient's values and needs, she partners with them to construct an evidence-based treatment plan that she delivers with empathy and compassion.Dr. Ruggiero has received multiple awards for teaching, research, and academic excellence. She has served as the Vice Chair representing Manhattan for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Biography: Dr. Chetna Arora is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a specialist in complex benign gynecologic surgery for the treatment of uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian pathology, and fertility surgery. Her AAGL-accredited fellowship provided Dr. Arora with the specialized training and expertise in the fields of advanced robotics, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Dr. Arora's primary goals are minimally-invasive approaches with a thoughtful focus on patient-centered care thus allowing the patient a quicker recovery, improved cosmesis, and greater patient satisfaction. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City accelerated School of Medicine, Dr. Arora completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota followed by a three-year minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at Columbia University. During her fellowship, she excelled surgically and academically. She was and remains highly research-oriented with numerous publications and awards, notably a prestigious scholarly Jay M. Cooper award from AAGL. She is also an Associate Program Director for the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery fellowship.
