Biography: Herman B. Kleinbaum, MD, is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed internships at New York Medical College and Westchester County Medical Center, where he stayed on to serve his residency. He returned to New York Medical College to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology. Dr. Kleinbaum has been the recipient of several honors, including the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the Dolores Rosa Scholarship Award for Academic Excellence. Biography: Dr. Stoopler received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 1971 and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1975. He completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital/Memorial Hospital and his oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City before joining the Columbia faculty in 1980. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, the International Society of Gastrointestinal Oncology, the American Federation for Clinical Research and the Southwest Oncology Group. Dr. Stoopler is involved in patient care, clinical research and teaching on the medical oncology service.

Biography: Jeffrey Abergel is a board-certified gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group, Hudson Valley. He treats an array of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders but has a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis). He performs upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography, and videocapsule endoscopy. After earning his medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine in Israel, Dr. Abergel completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey. Dr. Abergel was previously on faculty at Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. In 2015, Dr. Abergel was honored by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America charity ``Take Steps`` Walk on Staten Island. Dr. Abergel has had his research published in medical journals and textbooks. Additionally, his work has beenpresented at national meetings of the American College of Gastroenterology.
