Biography: Dr. Barnes is grateful to serve El Paso, the community where she was born and raised. She graduated from Lehigh University with honors and earned her master™s degree in biomedical science at Drexel University, and her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Barnes furthered her training and completed her residency at Phoenix Integrated Residency of Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Dedicated to excellence, Dr. Barnes is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Barnes has participated in research throughout her career focusing on quality improvement and quality of life among gynecologic cancer patients. Dr. Barnes also has a passion for training new physicians and serves as an associate professor in gynecologic oncology at Las Palmas and Del Sol Medical Centers. She performs complex pelvic and abdominal surgery. Dr. Barnes is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and Gynecologic Oncology of Canada, among others. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. After earning his medical degree and finishing his internship and residency, Manuel Rivera-Alsina, MD, MBA, RDMS, FACOG, FACPE, completed a three-year fellowship in maternal fetal medicine (perinatology) at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. He is board certified in maternal fetal medicine. He entered military service in the 1970's and served in the Army Airborne Rangers. His naval service includes research in lung physiology, casualty evacuation and women's health during deployment. He held many clinical positions through his decorated and distinguished service as a Captain in the Navy, including Seal Team medical officer and obstetrics-gynecology residency program director at Navy Medical Center Oakland and Navy Medical Center San Diego.After active duty service, he accepted a position as chairman of the Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School-Milwaukee. Prior to moving to El Paso, he served as residency program director at Methodist Health System Dallas. Dr. Rivera-Alsina is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the American College of Physicians Executives, as well as a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, senior member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Investigation.He has published multiple abstracts, peer-reviewed articles and chapters in books and has been recognized with several national teaching awards. He has donated his time and clinical talents to care for underserved populations.
