Care Philosophy: Dr Costa is a Medical Oncologist at the Department of Breast Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in the Clinical Investigator Track since 2017. In 2011, Dr Costa completed a Master Degree in Clinical Research at University of Pittsburgh and Clinical Fellowship Training at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr Costa was an Instructor at the Developmental Therapeutics Program at Northwestern University, Chicago, where he developed early phase clinical trials for the treatment of breast cancer. He has already authored and co-authored over 40 scientific manuscripts.

Care Philosophy: Dr Seth Felder is a board-certified colon and rectal surgical oncologist Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Following fellowship colon and rectal surgical training at the University of Minnesota, he then pursued additional training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Advanced Colorectal Surgical Oncology. He understands the fears patients face with his/her diagnosis, specifically regarding the functional and psychological impact that may result from surgery. He focuses on these important aspects of a patient's quality of life, and when possible, he uses nerve-sparing surgical techniques that can help to preserve anal, bladder, and sexual function.

Care Philosophy: For patients undergoing surgery, whenever possible, Dr Malafa uses minimally invasive approaches. He's experienced at performing robotic whipple, robotic distal pancreatectomy, robotic colectomy and robotic liver resections. In addition to Dr Malafa's time in the clinic and operating room, he continues to work in research and is a Senior Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology and the Chemical Biology and Molecular Medicine Program at Moffitt. As a physician-scientist, he is enthusiastically investigating novel approaches to prevent pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer.

Care Philosophy: Dr Vania Phuoc is an Assistant Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Medical Oncology and practices at Moffitt at Wesley Chapel. Dr Phuoc received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow for the James A Haley Veterans' Hospital. Dr Phuoc's clinical focuses are benign and malignant hematology and breast cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Josv© Pevagarv?cano is a Senior member in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Pevagarv?cano received his B.S. in mathematics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his MD from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamv=n, Puerto Rico. He completed a radiation oncology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Prior to joining Moffitt Cancer Center he was a tenured Professor of radiation oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. His clinical interests include head and neck cancer, brain and spine tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic radiation therapy.

Care Philosophy: Dr Kamran Ahmed is an Associate Member with Tenure in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Department of Immunology at Moffitt Cancer Center and an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida. He is the Section Chief for the Breast Radiotherapy Service at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also the Program Director for the Advanced Radiation Oncology Research Fellowship. Dr Ahmed received his medical degree from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, MN and completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine before completing his radiation oncology residency at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Ahmed treats patients with breast and gynecologic cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Guilherme Rabinowits is a Senior Member in the Department of Head and Neck-Endocrine Oncology. Dr Rabinowits received his MD degree from Fundacao Tecnico-Educacional Souza Marques, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Lahey Clinic and Medical Center, Burlington, Massachusetts, followed by a Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, where he also served as Chief Fellow. He then joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, as a Head and Neck Medical Oncologist until his move to Miami. Dr Rabinowits joins us from the Miami Cancer Institute, Department of Hematology/Medical Oncology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Khakpour is a surgical oncologistinthe Department of Breast Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She also serves as an instructor and mentor for medical students and resident physicians. As treatment for breast cancer becomes more complex and differentiated by tumor type, Dr Khakpour believes it is essential for physicians to be well trained in all aspects of this multifaceted disease. Dr Khakpour enjoys helping women understand the many treatment options that are available to them and making sure they are aware of the value of obtaining a second opinion.

Care Philosophy: Dr Allan Lima Pereira is an Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Lima Pereira earned his MD degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. He completed his Clinical Oncology Fellowship at Hospital Sv?rio-Libanv™s, Brazil. Dr Lima Pereira earned his PhD degree in Medical Sciences (Oncology Program) from the University of Svo Paulo, Brazil. Dr Pereira has worked at academic institutions since completing his oncology fellowship. From 2013 to 2017, he worked at the Svo Paulo Cancer Institute (ICESP). He then completed a fellowship in the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.

Care Philosophy: Dr Pimiento earned his MD degree at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He completed a general surgery residency at Saint Mary's Health System/Affiliated Yale University School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Surgical Research in Vascular Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Advanced Fellowship in Surgical Oncology Research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento joined Moffitt from Mercy Health Partners/Mercy Health-St. Mary's and served as the Medical Director, Surgical Oncology at the Lacks Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento's clinical interest is in malignancies of the upper gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, colorectal and liver cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Sean Dineen is an Assistant Member of the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Dineen has a particular interest in the treatment of patients with metastatic disease, including carcinomatosis. In particular, he focuses on patients that have developed peritoneal spread of disease and the application of heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in the treatment of this advanced process. Dr Dineen's research focuses on identifying how the tumor and the local environment interact to promote metastatic disease. Dr Dineen is a native of Lexington, KY. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville.

Care Philosophy: Alberto A Chiappori, MD currently serves as Senior Member of Oncology and Medicine for the Thoracic Oncology Program at the H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. He has been a member of the Thoracic Oncology Program at Moffitt since 2001. Dr Chiappori received his MD from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. After graduation, he completed his residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He then went on to finish his fellowship and senior fellowship in medical oncology-hematology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr Chiappori has been Board Certified in Medical Oncology since 1997.

Care Philosophy: Dr Andrew (Andy) Brohl is a medical oncologist and physician-scientist. His clinical interest is in the care of patients with a diagnosis of sarcoma or a cutaneous (skin) malignancy, including melanoma. Dr Brohl's laboratory research focuses on the utilization of genomics and other high-throughput technologies to learn more about rare cancers and for clinically translational applications. Examples of his current projects include genomic analysis of rare cancer subtypes, identification of drug targets from -omics datatypes, application of genomics for personalized cancer therapy, and development of non-invasive molecular profiling technology.
