Biography: Dr. Oluchukwu Oluoha is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with a wide range of hematologic and malignant conditions. Dr. Oluoha trained in general internal medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, and went to work as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Meharry Medical College. During his time at Meharry, he received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Patient Care, awarded to physicians who go above and beyond best practices to deliver extraordinary care. He was also recognized by residents for superior teaching skills, winning the Outstanding Teaching Award. To pursue his passion for Oncology, he subsequently completed fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Prior to joining Texas Oncology, Dr. Oluoha worked at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI practicing medical oncology & hematology while training fellows, residents and medical students. Dr. Oluoha has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient-centered care and medical education. He's also made significant research contributions through publications in peer-reviewed journals and roles as institutional principal investigator in several clinical trials including NCI cooperative group trials.
