Biography: Prior to joining the group, Dr. Wang was an attending physician at Cooper University Hospital and assistant professor of Cooper Medical School, Rowan University, NJ. Shortly after graduating with high honors from Harbin Medical University, China, Dr. Wang went on to pursue master's degree in Pharmacology at University of Missouri, Kansas City. Subsequently, she was conducting extensive research at Marion Merrel Dow Laboratory of Viral Pathogenesis, University of Kansas Medical Center and the Department of Tumor Virology, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass. He completed a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship focusing on epilepsy also at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. After fellowship he moved back to where he was born and raised, St. Louis, Missouri and practiced seeing general neurology and stroke. In addition, he had a special interest in treating patients with intractable epilepsy. He also ran a dedicated multidisciplinary sports concussion clinic with Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital which was St. Louis University School of Medicine's primary pediatric teaching hospital. He was the primary sports concussion physician for elite soccer clubs around St. Louis area. Since his move to San Diego, his primary focus is Neurohospitalist/Stroke Director at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas where he treats neurological emergencies and continues to manage patients with epilepsy. He has been published and has presented numerous papers. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Epilepsy Society.
