Biography: Dr. David Macias specializes in foot and ankle surgery. When an injury ended his high school freshman soccer season, his orthopedic surgeon took great care of him. Besides being a great physician, the surgeon was a great person and inspired Dr. Macias to pursue a career in medicine. That experience, coupled with his undergraduate studies in biological engineering, made orthopedic surgery a perfect fit. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Howard University Hospital and went on to a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania.
