Dr. Selya is God sent! He performed my spinal stenosis surgery last June 2023. He is thorough, honest, and very compassionate. He won't give up on his patients. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Selya. ??????

Dr Selya eased my pain
For me what stood out was his amazing compassion. On my very first visit he said to me; after viewing my many MRIs CT scans and X-rays he said why didn't you come to me a long time ago? I knew I was in the right place with the right Doctor! I was terrified at the thought of having back surgery; having heard many horror stories about it. But I was more scared to keep being in pain. I had my surgery last March and Dr Selya is a great surgeon & his skill and bedside manner eased my fears. He follows up with me and he is done of those rare doctors that returns phone calls! He is still my doctor making sure I don't have too much unnecessary suffering and caring about me as a patient and a person. I totally recommend him and his practice.

A Blessing From God
I was given a note written on a sticky with Dr. Seyla's name on it to schedule an appointment with him. I was at my pain and management office for my second treatment and my last. I immediately scheduled an appointment with him and praise God I am so happy I did. I have so many words to express how Dr. Seyla has restored my life. He is not only a very talented and educated Dr., but he knows his craft. His craft is his hands and he used them to heal and blessed me into getting my life back again. Thank you is a small word, but to me, it's so powerful and meaningful. August 2023, is when I had my surgery.

The Best
He’s one of the most knowledgeable and most compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. He explains everything and makes sure you understand his “why” for the recommended treatment.

I am not a patient but my brother is. He had surgery at Doctors Hospital to remove spine and hip infection in August. After 4 weeks released to rehab. Had appointments to see doctor at Capital Orthopedic in Bowie but was seen instead by nurse practitioner for about 2 minutes. Spine opening still not healing but again he sees the nurse practitioner for about 2 minutes after waiting for an hour after being told he was the first patient. Had to hire a ambulance service to take him to this appointment because he has yet to heal or move. Has no consideration for people’s time or need to see the actual doctor. I am truly disappointed by the way my brother has been treated by this doctor and nurse practitioner. I know from this experience that I would not choose him ifI had any orthopedic needs.

Dr. Leonid Selya saved my boyfriend (Carroll Robinson) life. He performed surgery on October 2, 2018 to repair a fractured vertebrae and remove a tumor from his lung. After the surgery he called me to let me know the surgery went well. Because of the The surgery Carroll is not paralyzed. I am so thankful to him. I would definitely recommend Dr. Leonid Selya to my family and friends. I swear, he is angel sent from heaven above. He is the best!!

After three years of agony and pain and seeing many doctors, I was finally referred to Dr. Selya by a neurologist for which I will be forever be grateful. From the first visit, I knew he was the doctor for me. He explained the surgery and what the result will be. Although there were some difficult times during my recovery, beyond their control, Dr Selya and his team were 100% professional and caring doctors. After 2 years I am a healthy, happy ,working lady because of Dr Leonid Selya and Team.

Dr. Selya is not only loyal to his patients he is loyal to his staff as well, particularly to his Secretary. She was in a serious automobile accident last year and he immediately made himself available along with Dr. Weber to perform her surgery. Dr. Selya has an excellent bedside manner as well as an excellent personality and always puts his patients first. I myself have had surgery performed by Dr. Selya and I'd truly recommend him to both friends and family. He's a wonderful surgeon.
