Care Philosophy: Jonathan Richards DPM is a highly trained surgeon and a board certified podiatrist He s been providing exceptional surgical and nonsurgical treatments for his patients at FOOTDRx in Englewood New Jersey and New York City since 2015 FOOTDRx s New York City clinics are conveniently located in Union Square in the Village Midtown East in Manhattan and Bushwick Brooklyn Dr Richards graduated from The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio in 2006 with a degree in chemistry He earned his podiatry degree in 2010 from the revered Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio which is now Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence Ohio After graduating Dr Richards relocated to New York City for a podiatric medical rotation residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Beth Israel Medical Center He excelled in his program serving as chief resident of the program a co chair and board member of the Beth Israel House Staff Committee and a board member of the Beth Israel Health and Wellness Committee In addition to his general studies Dr Richards has completed continuing education programs on limb deformity and clubfoot correction He frequently shares his skills and expertise with the medical community through seminars and presentations most notably a talk on plantar fasciitis that he gave in 2011 at the TRIARQ Foot and Ankle Symposium Dr Richards leads a very athletic lifestyle His interest in running is what led him to pursue a career in podiatry and inspired him to focus on sports medicine He also likes to bike and swim on a regular basis He s finished 21 marathons in various locations across the country and is on his way towards finishing at least one race in every state He also volunteers his time by manning first aid stations at marathons and ultramarathons
