Biography: Eric Swisher, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with LewisGale Physicians in Salem, Virginia. Dr. Swisher earned his Medical Doctorate at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is an attending physician at anacademic medicine clinic as part of the Internal Medicine Residency Programaffiliated with LewisGale Medical Center. In this role, Dr. Glontz supervisesresident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physicianleaders. Dr. Glontz earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburghin Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed internships at Cleveland MetropolitanHospital in Cleveland, Ohio and United States Army Hospital. He completed hisresidency at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he alsocompleted a fellowship in infectious diseases. Biography: Scott Lang, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians at the family medicine academic clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. He is affiliated with LewisGale Medical Center where he serves as the program director of the Family Medicine Residency. As an attending physician of an academic medicine clinic at LewisGale Physicians, he supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders. Dr. Lang attended Temple University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where he received a Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence throughout residency. Preceding his medical degree, Dr. Lang earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Literature from Hamilton College in Clinton, Ney York. Dr. Lang is board-certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and serves as an active member of the DEI committee and Family Medicine-Medical Executive committee at HCA-North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He is a Major in the Army National Guard, serving in the 256th Medical Company, and has held various teaching positions at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine including associate professor, associate program director, and director of the simulation teaching lab. He has composed numerous publications, and presentations, and has attended various Family Medicine residency conferences over the past five years. When not seeing patients, Dr. Lang enjoys exercising, talking about sports, eating barbecue, spending time outdoors, and quality time with his family.
