Care Philosophy: Michele Malit, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Malit received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology. She went on to complete a general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center where she achieved the rank of Chief Resident, and a colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Malit is an active community volunteer and has contributed her musical talents to hospital events and charitable fundraisers as the lead singer of a band made up of medical colleagues. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Care Philosophy: Navin Changoor, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in colorectal surgery. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group from the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he completed his advanced subspecialty training in 2021. Prior to that, he was an award-winning general surgery intern and resident at Howard University in Washington, DC, and completed an elite, two-year post-doctoral research fellowship at Harvard University/Brigham and Women&rsquos Hospital in Boston. He earned his medical degree with honors in surgery at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Changoor is proud to provide expert patient evaluations and care as part of our medical group&rsquos nationally respected colorectal surgery team in Central Florida.

Biography: Dr. Gibson is a board certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon. He completed General Surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio followed by Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Gibson treats a broad spectrum of colon and rectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal pain, pilonidal disease, fecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, diverticulitis, colon cancer and rectal cancer. He performs minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery including robotic procedures. Dr. Gibson also performs colonoscopies for screening and surveillance of colorectal cancer. He values excellent communication with his patients and outstanding patient care.
