Upon completion of his General Surgery residency, he joined the military and served in the United States Navy from 2004 until 2010. During that time he served on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and served on the USNS Comfort in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010.He has been practicing on the Northshore since 2010.
