22 years ago, around this time, Dr. Cirocco did an emergency surgery to remove a failing J Pouch that was the result of a total colectomy nearly 30 years ago. This was at Lee's Summit, Missouri. I have had good results with the ostomy that he created from the J Pouch, oh, I had Ulcerative Colitis beginning in 1976 when I was 4 years old. He saved my life, quite literally.

Dr. Cirocco performed a sub-colectomy on me in April of 2018. My husband and I were impressed with his bedside manner and professionalism from the start. My surgery, hospital stay and recovery went exactly as planned with no complications. I highly recommend Dr. Cirocco.

Zero bedside manner, luckily his CNP was helpful. I would never return to this office or recommend him to anyone.

VERY BAD ATTITUDE , he made me wait 45 min , then without explanation he referred me to surgery, he did not even let me ask him questions. very unfriendly, condescending, i had the same impression about him 2 years ago during my first visit, but this time i was able to validate my first observation.

Careless examination. Careless suggestions. Made matter worse. Refused to do second exam despite patient expressing worry that he missed something. A second opinion elsewhere validated that the second exam was necessary. Avoid. Seriously made my issue worse because of his negligence, apathy, and misdirection.

Awful. I took my mother there to have a surgery consultation. We ended up virtually walking out of the appointment. He asked her the same question MULTIPLE times, which was the first red flag. So, basically he asked her repeatedly if she had a family history of colon cancer. Each time she said "yes", then finally "yes, I've told you all of this already." He made no sense when explaining the procedure he wanted to do. It was the worst experience ever and we never went back.

Dr. Cirocco only cares about doing surgery compared to the care of the patient. I had a 5+ hour colectomy surgery with him and wasn't doing better. Since I was 18 he thought I was being wimpy and wouldn't help with pain anymore. He passed me on to the GI and said, come back when I can do a surgery. A year later I found out that all of this pain was caused due to a hole left in the small bowel. Hear I wasn't a wimp but just simply septic... Thank God for the Cleveland Clinic! - Not Crohns

My experience was horrible. I was,the first appointment of the morning and he did not get into my room til 9:25. He could careless why I was there and then left in the middle of me talking to him. Worst experience ever. I recommend going to someone who doesn't have horrible bedside manner...extremely disappointed
