Biography: Dr. Andrew Jen, MD is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction, complex joint replacement and general orthopaedic care. His scope of practice includes primary and revision joint replacements, trauma and fracture care, pediatric fracture care, sports medicine, and minor hand and foot and ankle surgery. He provides orthopaedic care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Dr. Jen is a native of the Philadelphia area. He attended the Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate studies, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Pre-Medicine and Psychology, with a minor in theatre. He then completed medical school at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine before matching into orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. While in residency, he received broad training in general orthopaedic surgery care. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health in New York City. He has received extensive training in joint replacement surgery of the knee and hip, training under Dr. Giles Scuderi, the lead clinical designer of the Zimmer Persona Knee Replacement System. He is well versed in primary and partial knee replacement surgery, primary hip replacement with the direct anterior and posterior approach, robotic knee and hip replacement with the Mako Robotic Platform, computer navigated knee replacement with the OrthoAlign system, same-day joint replacement surgery, management of prosthetic joint infections, complex knee and hip arthroplasty revision, and periprosthetic fracture management. Dr. Jen believes in a patient-centered and collaborative approach to patient care, delivered with the highest degree of attention to ethics and patient safety. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and the American Medical Association. Outside of work, Dr. Jen enjoys cooking, barbecuing, traveling and spending time with his wife and three corgis. Biography: Travis Austin Doering, MD, received his undergraduate education from Amherst College with a bachelor of the arts in biology and computer science. Prior to attending medical school, he performed two years of immunology research at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on bioinformatics.Dr. Doering received his medical degree from the Barbara and Donald Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University in 2015, graduating with a distinction in research, and completed his internship in general surgery (2016) and four-year residency in orthopedic surgery (2020) at Northwell Health, where he served his final year as chief resident.During his residency, Dr. Doering earned several accolades including Resident of the Year in 2017. After his residency, Dr. Doering completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the prestigious Campbell Clinic at the University of Tennessee HSC.Dr. Doering specializes in the operative and nonoperative management of hand and upper extremity disorders, including traumatic conditions, arthritis, and sports-related conditions. He has special interests in upper extremity fracture care, shoulder arthritis, tendon and nerve repairs, carpal tunnel and other nerve compression syndromes, and reconstructive surgery of the hand. He has additional interests in the arthroscopic management of many wrist and shoulder conditions, including injuries to the labrum, rotator cuff, and triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) in the wrist.Dr. Doering is an active member of the medical staff at St. David's hospitals as well as with clinic locations in South Austin, Bastrop, and San Marcos. Dr. Doering has produced multiple publications, including textbook chapters, review articles, and peer-reviewed journal articles on a wide range of orthopedic conditions. His research has been presented at the national meetings of several orthopedic societies.
