Biography: Dr. Mark S. Pecker is an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYPH-WCMC) and is a Professor of Clinical Medicine and a Professor of Clinical Medicine in Physiology and Biophysics at Weill Cornell Medical College. He received his MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1977 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Affiliated Hospitals, where he served as Chief Resident. He is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College Physicians.Dr. Pecker is an American Society of Hypertension Hypertension Specialist with expertise in autonomic dysfunction, aortic dissection and secondary and endocrine hypertension. Dr. Pecker has a passion for medical training. He served as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at NYPH-WCMC for 15 years. He remains active in teaching residents and medical students in New York, as well as at Hamad General Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. He helps supervise the yearly International Case Discussion Summer School in Munich, Germany, in coordination with the medical faculties of the Technical University of Munich and Ludwig Maxmillian University.At Weill Cornell he is an Associate Program Director of the Tri-Institution MD-PhD Program. Biography: Dr. Sonal Kumar graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002 and obtained her medical degree in 2006 from Washington University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed internal medicine internship and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital - Washington University School of Medicine and then Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard University. During fellowship, she also received her Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Kumar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.Dr. Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and currently is the Director of Clinical Hepatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her clinical interests include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, genetic/autoimmune liver disease and alcoholic liver disease. Dr. Kumar also has a background in clinical research and is involved in multiple clinical trials. She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, the Empire Liver Foundation, and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Kumar also routinely performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Biography: Danielle Nicolo, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from the University of Delaware and performed research in the Biotechnology industry prior to her career in medicine. She then earned a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology at Temple University with a focus on Cardiology and Autoimmunity. She received an M.D. degree from Temple University and also completed her residency there in 2009. Dr. Nicolo performed her fellowship training in Cardiology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has published several original papers as well as a textbook chapter on Cardiology and Autoimmunity. She was recognized by the American Heart Association Council on Clinical Cardiology with a Trainee Award for Excellence in 2011. Dr. Nicolo specializes in Preventive Cardiology with a focus on providing excellent, individualized care to address and prevent cardiovascular disease in both men and women.Dr. Nicolo is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
