Biography: Matthew R. Wilson, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon who earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University in 2006. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. He then practiced general surgery for the U.S. Navy until 2015. During his time on active duty, he was honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal as well as two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals. Upon discharge, he completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at AdventHealth Orlando. Dr. Wilson has practiced colon and rectal surgery for seven years at Utica Park Clinic and Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Wilson is an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and an adjunct professor of surgery at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa.

Her care philosophy is to manage patients and their expectations in an open and collaborative way. Dr. Nguyen wants her patients to feel as though she cares about them as if they were a member of her own family and doesn™t just look at them as a disease process. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and sees patients 18 years and older.
