Biography: Dr. Jonathan N. Sellin is a board certified neurosurgeon licensed in the state of Texas. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas where he attended the Kinkaid School. He studied English at Columbia University in New York where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine where he developed his interest in neurological surgery. Dr. Sellin completed his neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.He conducted research in spinal oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. During his residency, he served as the neurosurgery chief resident at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Ben Taub General Hospital and Baylor St. Luke's Hospital. He received advanced training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, completing a fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery in the Department of Neurological Surgery. As both a resident and fellow, Dr. Sellin has gained extensive experience in cranial microsurgery, cerebrovascular surgery, neurosurgical oncology, and complex spine surgery. Dr. Sellin treats a variety of neurosurgical conditions including spinal stenosis, disk herniations, complex spinal deformities, spinal fractures, brain tumors, primary and metastatic spine tumors, cerebral aneurysms and vascular malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and Chiari malformations. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive, microscopic, endoscopic and image guided spine and brain surgery. He and his wife live in Houston with their two sons.
