Biography: Dr. Roger A. Walker is a Board-Eligible Orthopedic surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) College of Engineering. He was a member of the Varsity FAU baseball team and was selected in the Major League baseball draft. While practicing as a professional engineer, he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from FAU. He then pursued his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University. His orthopedic surgery training was performed at the level one trauma center, Broward Health Medical Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He continued his training at Orlando Health Medical Center, completing a fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine. Dr. Walker specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries. Taking a holistic approach to the patient, the goal of his practice is to develop a targeted patient-specific treatment plan for their injury. He promotes patient education and understanding of their injury and rehabilitation. A targeted non-operative plan gets most patients back to health. However, some patients require additional interventions. He is fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery sports medicine, utilizing minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical procedures. Biography: Dr. Matthew Motisi is an orthopedic surgeon who believes in providing an individualized approach and strives for continuity of care. His goal is for his patients to have a more personal and enjoyable experience during a period of hardship in their lives resulting from sports related injuries, trauma, or degenerative diseases. He focused his training on being able to provide up-to-date, first-class orthopedic care to his patients and community. Dr. Motisi provides comprehensive sports medicine and orthopedic care, with a special interest in the complete spectrum of care from joint preservation to joint reconstruction of the hip, knee, and shoulder. This includes advanced arthroscopic/minimally invasive treatments, arthroplasty, and fracture care. He performs the latest techniques including the direct anterior approach total hip replacement, robotic total and partial knee replacement and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Motisi is a native to Plantation, Florida, he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science and then he received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, graduating at the top of his class. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Broward Health Medical Center, a busy Level 1 Trauma Center. During his time there, he received extensive training in all facets of orthopedic surgery including primary and complex joint reconstruction, as well as complex fracture care and surgery. During his final year of residency he was chosen as a Chief Resident and awarded Orthopedic Resident of the Year. After Residency, Dr. Motisi completed an additional year of fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was also a team physician for several high school and collegiate sports teams in Chicago.
