Dr. Shah then moved to Houston and completed an internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship, both at Baylor College of Medicine.During her career, Dr. Shah has served as a Department Chairman for the MacGregor Medical Association and Infectious Disease Committee Chairman for Houston Methodist Hospital. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University College of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine.Dr. Shah currently serves as the Houston Astros Team Infectious Disease Specialist. She is a member of several professional societies including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Musculoskeletal Infection Society, and the Texas Medical Association (where she sat on the Committee on Infectious Diseases from 2012-2016).She is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine, and the Subspecialty Board of Infectious Diseases.
