He enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and working with individuals to meet their short- and long-term health goals. His interests are chronic disease management, medicine in the aging population, and preoperative medical assessments prior to surgery. He believes the best skill a physician can have is the ability to listen.

Biography: I am an obstetrician-gynecologist with interests in prenatal care, contraceptive management and infertility. I knew from an early age that I wanted to become a doctor. I enjoy my position as an OB-GYN because it gives me an opportunity to provide care and form relationships with women from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. I am fluent in Somali and know some Spanish, which helps me connect with more patients to help them feel comfortable communicating and sharing with me. My practice is a collaborative effort. I work with my patients to put a plan together, encouraging them to voice their opinions and be active participants in their health care.
