Care Philosophy: Timothy Steve McElveen, MD, FACS, joined AdventHealth Medical Group from AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC, where he was a general surgeon for over 20 years and previously served as the hospital's Chief of Staff. He is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biology and was a William Douglas Memorial Scholarship recipient while earning his medical degree at the USC School of Medicine. Dr. McElveen undertook his internship training at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta and his general surgery residency at Georgia Baptist and Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Virginia, respectively. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1997 and is a highly rated surgeon with outstanding patient reviews.

Care Philosophy: Anthony V. DeIorio, Jr., MD is a board certified general surgeon with over two decades of experience providing general surgery care. He utilizes the latest techniques and procedures with minimally invasive approaches. He specializes in breast cancer and breast surgery, biliary and pancreatic surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery including colon surgery. Dr. DeIorio also provides general surgical care of the gallbladder, hernia, and intestine.
