Care Philosophy: I like to take a conservative approach to treating my patients, while taking the time to listen to what they need based on their individual goals. Orthopaedic Surgery is an ever-advancing field of medicine, and it's the Orthopaedic Surgeon's job to be in the business of improving mobility for our patients, however each patient's condition requires special individualized attention. It is for this very reason I am proud to be a resident of Florida's Treasure Coast and look forward to keeping our community vibrant and energetic.

Biography: Dr. Roger A. Walker is a Board-Eligible Orthopedic surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) College of Engineering. He was a member of the Varsity FAU baseball team and was selected in the Major League baseball draft. While practicing as a professional engineer, he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from FAU. He then pursued his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University. His orthopedic surgery training was performed at the level one trauma center, Broward Health Medical Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He continued his training at Orlando Health Medical Center, completing a fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine. Dr. Walker specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries. Taking a holistic approach to the patient, the goal of his practice is to develop a targeted patient-specific treatment plan for their injury. He promotes patient education and understanding of their injury and rehabilitation. A targeted non-operative plan gets most patients back to health. However, some patients require additional interventions. He is fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery sports medicine, utilizing minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical procedures. These procedures implement advanced techniques to preserve cartilage, reconstruct ligaments, and repair tendons to preserve native joint longevity and performance. Dr. Walker practices General Orthopedic Surgery encompassing the following: * Adult & Adolescent Care* Outpatient and Inpatient (Hospitalized) Care* Fracture management in the Upper and Lower Extremities* Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hip, Knee, and Ankle Pain: Non-Operative and Operative Management* Joint Replacement (Arthroplasty) of the Hip and Knee* Arthroscopy of the Shoulder, Hip, and Knee* Neck and Back Pain: Non-Operative Management* Team Coverage

Care Philosophy: I begin with conservative care and recommend surgery when conserviative care has failed and the pain is greatly interferring the your quality of life. I utilize minimally invasive techniques trying to minimize pain and preserve mobility with cervical disc replacement surgery and motion preserving procedures when appropriate.
