Biography: Masoud Rezvani, MD, FACS, earned his medical degree at the Islamic Azad University in Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency training in General Surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. Following his residency, Dr. Rezvani completed a dedicated specialized fellowship in minimally invasive weight loss surgery, where he has gained expertise and experience in advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery and surgical endoscopy. His training also included robotic surgery utilizing the DaVinci System to perform weight loss surgery. Biography: Luan Tran, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with Premier Surgical, affiliated with Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dr. Tran earned his Doctor of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency with Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he was awarded Trauma Resident of the Year. In addition, he earned a Master's of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Prior to his graduate education, he received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Tran is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as general surgeon for the 51st Medical Group at Osan Air Base in Republic of Korea and the 88th Medical Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.Dr. Tran is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He treats common surgical conditions such as diseases of the gallbladder, appendix, and hernias. He also treats a broad range of diseases of the digestive tract and breast. He has expertise in endoscopic, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Tran also served as assistant professor of Surgery at Wright State University School of Medicine for over a decade. Biography: Kenneth Brown, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon with Richmond Surgical Associates in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he also enjoyed a one-year research fellowship. He then went on to complete his residency training in general surgery and fellowship training in transplant surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, now VCU Health, where he served as chief resident. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and is affiliated with Henrico Doctors' Hospital and the Virginia Transplant Center. He has more than three decades of medical expertise specializing in general surgery, transplant surgery, and vascular surgery. He utilizes a wide breadth of practice helping his patients with both simple and complex problems and those in between. Biography: Joseph Greene, MD, MBA, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in bariatric and general surgery with Capital Surgical Associates in Reston, Virginia, and is affiliated with Reston Hospital Center. Dr. Greene earned his Doctor of Medicine at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida. He then completed his residency in general surgery with MedStar Health Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and a bariatric, robotic, and advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to his medical training, he earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Sector Management and Policy from University of Miami. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Greene is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He speaks English and Spanish and has proficiency in Hebrew. He specializes in advanced, minimally-invasive and robotic surgical techniques for weight loss, hernia repair, reflux (GERD), and stomach and gallbladder conditions. Dr. Greene has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at national and international conferences on many topics related to bariatric, robotic, and general surgery.
