Biography: Thomas R. Zink, DO graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. He completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Pittsburg, PA. Dr. Zink is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He is a member of several organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, National Guard Association of the United States, Ohio Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and the American Medical Association. Biography: John Powell, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Powell has served as Commander/Orthopaedic Surgeon with the 655th Forward Surgical Team, Forward Operating Base Ghazni, Afghanistan, and was the Orthopaedic Surgery Flight Commander, 88th Medical Group, Wright Patterson Medical Center. Biography: Jeffrey Rayborn, MD is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Practice and his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Bethesda North Hospital. Dr. Rayborn joined Premier Orthopedics in 2009. Dr. Rayborn's practice focuses on non-operative orthopaedic care for adolescents and adults, and primary care sports medicine. Dr. Rayborn also employs the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the evaluation of orthopaedic conditions, as well as in the placement of needles to support the aspiration or injection of joints such as the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. The use of musculoskeletal ultrasound has been shown to enhance patient management and outcomes in both general orthopaedic and sports medicine populations. Dr. Rayborn also offers Platelet Rich Plasma Injections (PRP) when medically appropriate. Dr. Rayborn is actively engaged in the sports medicine community. He currently serves as the Medical Director for Upper Valley Sports Medicine Center and is also the team physician at Tipp City High School. Dr. Rayborn is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He maintains office hours at Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood and the Hyatt Center in Tipp City. Dr. Rayborn is a Credentialed ImPACT® Consultant trained in treating concussions as well as administering and interpreting the ImPACT® test.
