I had bilateral total knee replacements on July 31, 2023 at MVH South done by Dr. Cook. I am so thankful for Dr. Cook and his office. I am pain free today. Every time I needed refills on my pain medications during my recovery, my request was accommodated immediately. I had everything I needed to help me with navigating my recovery period with ease sent to our home prior to my surgery date. I have heard of other people having total knee replacements and I compared their experiences with mine and I am so thankful that I have chosen Dr. Cook to do my surgery because my experience was 100% better than theirs. Their surgeon's office did not arrange for all the equipment they needed to be available to them after surgery. I had everything I needed. Dr. Cook was compassionate, professional and a highly skilled surgeon. I worked at GSH in the past and worked briefly with him as well at Orthopedic unit at the hospital. Thank you Dr. Cook & your staff for all you do. Zach, thank you to you.

Compassion, dedicated to his patients, excellent surgeon, with great follow-up, great listener, Christian values, trust worthy.with much wisdom.Speaks of his mother reminding him never forget from where he came. Takes care of everyone regardless of his/her status. He is truly called to be a missionary and a child of God.Ensures patient satisfaction and advocates for good post op pain control in his patients. He comes highly recommended although, he is humble and gives all the glory to God.What a guy!

Dr. Cook has done a knee replacement and a reverse shoulder replacement for me plus both shoulders and both knees replacement surgeries on my husband over the years. We have both been satisfied with not only the him, but with his staff, also and would recommend him to anyone, even with reading all the comments and reviews. Everyone has different experiences. The only thing we don't care for is when he started operating only at the hospital in Springfield because it is far from where we live.

I had a revision surgery by Dr. Cook in 2018. ( Dr. Cook performed the original surgery) Since that time my right leg is non weight bearing. After going all over the state of Ohio it was discovered by several doctors that Dr. Cook cut approx an inch of my bone making it impossible to be repaired . Even though Dr. Cook denies this. I carry the evidence of his mistake in my body. I would never go to Dr. Cook it recommend him to anyone.

Dr Thomas Cook is top notch in his field, has top notch credentials, has great bedside manners, and cares for each and everyone of his patients. There is none better. He is the physician who fixes other issues caused by other surgeons and I met a patient that is extremely satisfied with Dr Cook when another surgeon blundered his hip replacement. This man is extremely satisfied with the “fix” that Dr Cook made when his previous surgery did not go well. I am extremely satisfied with the surgeries done on both of my hips and I recommend his to everyone. He is a very competent, top notch surgeon. And I would recommend Dr Cook to anyone wanting a hip replacement. His staff is competent, friendly, and professional.

Dr. Cook is an adequate surgeon for basic orthopedic procedures. However, his response time when complications occur is totally inadequate and non-personal.

Dr. Cook is not only a great surgeon, but he cares about his patients. He tried to fix mistakes made by Dr. Vitols. Dr. Cook and his staff are great at their jobs and very caring. I am grateful to God for sending me to him.

I had hip replacement surgery in July, 2017 and am very pleased with the care I received. Dr. Cook has excellent bedside manner and took time to explain everything to me. I work as a registered nurse and would recommend this surgeon without hesitation.

Dr. Cook was referred after I became allergic to the adhesives used in a knee replacement. He did a total knee revision which was extensive, I regained total range of motion. Dr. Cook is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. His bedside manner is outstanding and he will take however much time is required to explain everything so that you have no questions.

Dr Cook is not only an amazing surgeon, he is caring, compassionate, and professional. My father in law fell and fractured his femur/hip. Dr Cook made arrangements to transfer him to Good Sam and performed surgery at 5:45pm that day!! He came and talked to all of us before and after surgery! He goes above and beyond for his patients. Highly recommend Dr Cook. I know from personal experience d/t he repaired my bad knee replacement from another surgeon!

My mom had a knee replacement almost 2 years ago. She has not fully healed and recovered from the knee replacement. Dr.Cook did not do it properly. He finished the surgery in 25 minutes, which I found odd. Now, after going to two other doctors my mom has gotten confirmation that Dr. Cook cut her tendons, making it impossible to heal, and making her leg longer, causing pain and difficulty walking. I will NEVER recommend him to anyone. he is only in this to make money. It's truly horrible.

Dr cook is an amazing surgeon! My mother and sister have been using him for years. The problem is with the staff. You can not get a hold of a nurse or scheduling person. They are supposed to return your call within 24 hours which has never happened. My husband has a torn meniscus and is in terrible pain he was supposed to be scheduled for an mri but it never got scheduled. I have left 4 messages over 2 weeks my husband has left 3 messages with no return phone call. cant reach a nurse

Dr. Cook is an excellent doctor/surgeon and operated on my husband's hip in 2008 which resulted in excellent results. My husband attempted to make an appt. with Dr. Cook this year as a matter of "follow-up" concerning some pain he has been having. Unfortunately, he could not get an afternoon appt because he was told he is considered a "new patient" as opposed to an existing patient. My husband had to cancel appt because he cannot come in the morning and they would not offer an afternoon time.
