Biography: Mohan Mallipeddi, MD, specializes in minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) surgery for hernias, benign esophageal disorders, stomach and intestinal cancer, and obesity._x000D_ For all his surgical patients, Dr. Mallipeddi gives them the opportunity to express their own story. As a specialist in bariatric (obesity) surgery, he enjoys the opportunity to follow his patients over a long period of time, getting to know them along the way and witnessing their transformation toward better health._x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Mallipeddi enjoys board games, movies, travel, family time and playing sports (soccer, volleyball, basketball, ultimate, badminton).

Dr. Avery believes that good patient care requires clinical excellence, availability, patience, warmth and empathy. He strives to incorporate each of these into every patient encounter. He considers it particularly important to present his patients with all available treatment options, to achieve a mutual understanding and to ensure that their decisions are consistent with their values. He recognizes that there is no one best treatment that suits everyone. Dr. Avery emphasizes communication with referring providers and is committed to keeping members of the care team well informed. Outside of work, Dr. Avery enjoys spending time with family, recreational league soccer, hiking and camping.

Drawn to medicine for the ability to help others, Dr. Cho believes the most important aspect of care is educating his patients about their health problem and treatment options. Dr. Cho is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and many others.
