Biography: Dr. Smith is a board-certified general surgeon with Independence Surgical Clinic.He is from Central Missouri. He studied biochemistry at the University of Missouri Columbia, then attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, Dr. Smith was awarded the Golden Apple Teaching award as a Chief Resident.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Harper treats his patients with the utmost compassion and attention to details. His osteopathic background has provided him with an emphasis on considering the whole patient, in addition to the surgical conditions that he treats.

Biography: Dr. Clinton Gates, MD is a General Surgery Specialist who practices in Independence, MO. He is 37 years old and has been practicing for 11 years. Dr. Clinton Gates, MD is affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center and Lee's Summit Medical Center.
