Dr Joseph is a skilled surgeon, kind person and offers great follow-up care. His nurse is so kind and helpful too.

I had surgery with Dr Joseph few months ago. He did my weight loss surgery and hernia . My weight loss journey has been fantastic and so was the process . I have lost nearly 89 pounds so far and still counting . The staff at United Surgical Associates was very friendly. I hardly had any any pain after surgery and the follow up care has been excellent so far . I heard about Dr Joseph through my friends, who had the surgery, who rated him very highly . Dr Joseph is very genuine. It indeed had been an amazing journey . There is no other place where I would go , if I have to do it all over again .

Kansas City whatever you do, do not choose Dr. Sigi Joseph for your surgery! Poor time management, expect to wait over an hour if he even shows up for appt. On multiple occasions my appointment had to be canceled or rescheduled after arrival. I'm less than 6 months post op and he has canceled multiple follow up appts. Dr Joseph walked into room day of surgery and asked if we were doing the wrong procedure upon his late arrival... Zero patient support, familiarity or interest from Dr or his medical staff. Saw him for 15 seconds during post op after surgery. Horrible bedside manner and no patient concern. I have not had one appointment or even heard from my nutritionist since surgery. There is absolutely no support after you leave the table, you are just another fat check to cash.. his nurse Denise does no followup with you and barely returns messages. I told him my concerns at 90 day visit he brushed them to the side. Horrible service!!! Now I'm desperately looking for an actual Bariatr

I'd seen Dr. Joseph only once before my surgery. He arrived at the hospital in time to let me know exactly what he was going to do. I have five incisions and expected to feel pain from having a hernia repaired, but didn't need any pain medication.

Dr. Joseph seemed like he did not care about me, that he was too busy to thoroughly go over my condition, the risks, or alternatives. He ignored pages from my nurse. There was an issue with how I was admitted, so the fact that Dr. Joseph ignored pages left me without care from my admission for 15 hours! He showed up right at the time of my surgery. I feel I did not have time to really ask him questions before surgery. When a family member asked about his experience with the surgery he seemed pissed that anyone would question his experience and walked out. I also believe that the manner in which he performed my surgery he caused me to have a complication which he did not warn me of. I left a voicemail for his nurse when the complication arose, but it did not get returned for a day. Even in my follow up visit with Dr. Joseph he seemed to be uncaring about me personally and just needed to check off the required boxes without really caring for me. I will never use Dr. Joseph again.

Dr Joseph is awesome. He is who you want to take care of you. I’m here today because of the excellent care he and his staff gave me.

Dr Joseph and his staff have always been very courteous, helpful, attentive, and prompt during office visits and hospital visits. Dr Joseph takes time to ensure all questions are answered and you are comfortable and clear in everything that is going to transpire during your treatment plan.
