He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and post-graduate training from the Comprehensive Cancer Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Castine's practice centers around the treatment of all cancer diagnoses, as well as, the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the blood such as anemias and clotting disorders.In addition to practicing medicine, he has volunteered time in the community as the president of the Louisiana Oncology Society for three years. He also served on various local hospital committees and has been a member of several local social and charitable organizations. Dr. Castine is married with three children and enjoys traveling with his family. Most of his hobbies center around family with travel and sports, including fishing, skiing, soccer and hunting.
