Biography: Douglas D. Sankar, MD is Board Certified in Neurology with added qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Through an accelerated program offered at Boston University, MA, Dr. Sankar received his Medical Degree, which was followed by his Medical Internship and Neurology Residency at New York University. Dr. Sankar also completed his Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, at NYU.Dr. Sankar brings 20 years of experience and expertise to his patients, as NYP Medical Group/Hudson Valley's Clinical Director of Neurology Department. Biography: Yael Rappeport, MD is a Board Certified Neurologist. Dr. Rappeport obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. While in Denmark, she completed a medicine internship and initiated her neurology training, as well as authored several scientific publications. In addition, Dr. Rappeport also completed a medicine internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, NY and a Neurology Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to joining NYP Medical Group/Hudson Valley, she practiced in a private practice in Astoria, Queens. Biography: Nicole S. Belkin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist with expertise in non-operative and operative treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the knee, shoulder elbow, and hip. Dr. Belkin earned her medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine and completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She conducted laboratory research for an additional year at the university and won the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation's Resident Clinician Scientist Award. Her research received both national and international recognition. Dr. Belkin completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
