Biography: Douglas D. Sankar, MD is Board Certified in Neurology with added qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Through an accelerated program offered at Boston University, MA, Dr. Sankar received his Medical Degree, which was followed by his Medical Internship and Neurology Residency at New York University. Dr. Sankar also completed his Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, at NYU.Dr. Sankar brings 20 years of experience and expertise to his patients, as NYP Medical Group/Hudson Valley's Clinical Director of Neurology Department. He has special interests in neuromuscular disorders, as well as general neurology, including headache, epilepsy and stroke.

Biography: Yael Rappeport, MD is a Board Certified Neurologist. Dr. Rappeport obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. While in Denmark, she completed a medicine internship and initiated her neurology training, as well as authored several scientific publications. In addition, Dr. Rappeport also completed a medicine internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, NY and a Neurology Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to joining NYP Medical Group/Hudson Valley, she practiced in a private practice in Astoria, Queens. A member of the American Academy of Neurology, and interests including all aspects of adult neurology, Dr. Rappeport strives to stay up to date and current on new techniques and findings, for her patients.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Scott specializes in the management of musculoskeletal injuries in pediatric and adult dancers and athletes. His approach to care is collaborative and personalized, guided by patients' personal goals for recovery. He believes in the rehabilitative process as a catalyst for personal growth, enhanced body knowledge, and movement awareness in movers of all levels. He uses diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound as an extension of the physical examination and employs a variety of ultrasound-guided interventions, including regenerative treatments such as shockwave therapy, prolotherapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.

Biography: Nicole S. Belkin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist with expertise in non-operative and operative treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the knee, shoulder elbow, and hip. Dr. Belkin earned her medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine and completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She conducted laboratory research for an additional year at the university and won the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation's Resident Clinician Scientist Award. Her research received both national and international recognition. Dr. Belkin completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Through this advanced training, she gained experience treating articular cartilage injuries, meniscus injury and meniscus deficiency, ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral conditions, early arthritis of the knee, shoulder dislocations and separations, rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, elbow injuries and hip impingement. She is an expert in minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques and shoulder replacements. Her clinical focus is in the treatment of ligament, cartilage, meniscus and patellofemoral injuries of the knee; rotator cuff and labrum injuries and arthritis of the shoulder; injuries and overuse conditions of the elbow and labrum injuries and impingement of the hip. Dr. Belkin provides individualized state-of-the-art care to athletes of all descriptions. She has served as an assistant team physician for the New York Giants, an associate team physician for Iona College Athletics, and an orthopedic consultant to the New York Public School Athletic League. She also served as the head team physician at Pace University.

Biography: Shyla Kodi, MD, is a neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley and an attending physician in the department of neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. She is board certified in neurology, epilepsy, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to treating general neurological conditions, Dr. Kodi is a board-certified specialist in handling patients with various types of seizure disorders/intractable epilepsy and an array of sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, parasomnias, and insomnias. Dr Kodi is skilled at the treatment of intractable migraine headaches with Botox therapy and trigger point injections, which is also used in the treatment of muscle pain and muscle spasms.Dr. Kodi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Epilepsy Society. Before joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Dr. Kodi honed her expertise in treating patients with complex neurological conditions at Westchester Medical Center (WCM). She also taught medical students, and residents at WMC and New York Medical College. After graduating from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India, Dr. Kodi served her internship at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Jamaica, New York. She completed her neurology residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and served her clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Jacobs Neurological Institute at SUNY Buffalo in New York. She continued her training with a sleep medicine fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital.

Biography: Henry Moyle, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon, specializing in disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley.Dr. Moyle's clinical focus includes most aspects of general neurosurgery, including brain and spine trauma, degenerative disease, and tumors. He utilizes advanced technology, including minimally invasive surgery and minimally invasive neuro-endovascular techniques and offers patients the latest approaches in treatment. Dr. Moyle is fellowship-trained and CAST-certified in interventional vascular neurosurgery and has more than a decade of experience in treating neurovascular disease. He sees patients for brain and spinal arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, carotid stenosis and osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. He also has broad experience in treating brain and spinal trauma.Dr. Moyle earned his medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine and graduated as a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He remained at UCLA to complete his internship, residency, and chief residency in neurosurgery. Dr. Moyle served his fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he practiced and instructed residents for five years as a faculty member. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Moyle obtained his PhD in molecular biology from the University of Southern California.
