Biography: Ellen grew up in Queens, New York, received my BA at Barnard College, MA atThe Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia P&S, and MD at University of Miami School of Medicine. I returned to New York for my Pediatric Residency at Schneider Children's Hospital at LIJMC. I became a Pediatrician and learned to love grits down in rural Arkansas, then back to NY to spend five years at a local Hudson Valley Health center where I met Larry Baskind and Mary Ellen Stavitz. I have continued to work with them over the past 15 years (minus a sabbatical to enjoy the teenage years with my two lovely daughters), and I am honored to join them and the rest of the awesome staff down in Croton providing for children and their families. I enjoy everything else life has to offer with my family and black lab, Violet.

Biography: Alyda L. Stabile, MD, is a pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley. Dr. Stabile has conducted research on improving communication between physicians and parents and has published and presented her work in the field of pediatrics. Her other interests include nutrition and obesity, as well as breastfeeding education for new mothers. She is board eligible in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After graduating from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers, Dr. Stabile served her pediatrics residency at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. During her residency, Dr. Stabile took part in a global health elective to Kenya, where she worked at a pediatric clinic and hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care. She is active in community bullying awareness and prevention, as a volunteer for the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying (LICAB), helping children and adolescents struggling from bullying. She is fluent in English, Italian, and medical Spanish.
